Seafood Lady in Louisville

I really enjoyed my my here. The flavors are great, but wait was a bit long.

Was doing a door dash order. The order was made around 1:40 and time for pickup was 2:36. Arrived for pick up it was not ready. Thats fine I don't mind waiting. Waited for 2 hours before I decided to cancel the order. I had called them multiple times and went in 5 times in the span of 2 hours with the same response each time. "Your order is about to comeout, it usually takes an hour." . All in all they had that order for 3 hours and was never made. Very disappointed in customer service. Other people would come up and get their order right away. But I didn't even get mine 3 hours after it had initially been ordered. Will never go there again.

The Seafood Lady is the truth. Delicious cuisine at very affordable prices. Large portions too! We love this place. Ignore the people complaining about their delivery issues. They are not a reflection of how fantastic the Seafood Lady is. If you like Cajun cuisine and/or seafood, this is the place for you!

Ordered via postmates at 7:30 pm and was promised delivery by 8:45. The restaraunt didn’t have my food ready within the hour and made my Postmate wait for 45 minutes outside, only to tell them at 9:15 that the order was lost and the grill was off for the night, despite telling them a few minutes earlier the food was almost ready.I’d imagine this place has to be pretty good when they’re this busy and can afford to completely cancel someone’s order although promising them it was to be done soon and placing it well before closing time.

We had an extended wait for the food, but the staff was kind and kept us informed. Good quality seafood for the price. We will return before leaving KY.

Never disappointed with my visits to this restaurant. The food is great! Visited this new location and I absolutely love it even more than the downtown location. The atmosphere and parking is great!

The cajun spice is amazing. Delicious crab and shrimp. Fish batter was very flavorful. Very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful.

My food was plentiful, and delicious!! Only con/minus about Sea Food Lady is the food is just a little salty. I would eat there so much more often if my blood pressure could handle it. 👍👍👌 Still licking my lips!!!

Portions were a little small for a $28 meal. Wait was ridiculous and completely unorganized. We were told 45 mins at most but waited an hour and a half. Crab was delicious. Lobster not so much. I love seafood boils. The flavors were there. My family did not like anything. I thought it was ok. This is definitely something that you can make at home. Don’t believe the hype about this place. You will be underwhelmed.

Best catfish I've ever had! Pricey but tasty! Seafood mac and cheese and hushpuppies delicious! Cole slaw very spicy.

2 hour and 15 min wait for food I ordered. I was the last person to get my order, and had ordered hours before others had. No food is worth that wait. It was like warm by the time I got it and ate it (at the mcdonalds next door)

This place is amazing! Food is perfectly prepared to order and the staff is very nice. Highly recommend if you're in Louisville to find one of the two locations and indulge.

We loved it! This is real-deal spicy Cajun cuisine. We ordered take-out from the Fern Valley road location. Had an oyster po boy and crab cakes. Highly recommend!

I was born and raised in Florida. I went to New Orleans monthly. This food isn't Florida or Cajun. Snow crab. Think about it. Snow crab isn't from Florida. Cod, tilapia, and catfish are farmed/fished from nearly anywhere but Florida. Look up her videos on YouTube. Her crabmeat is from a CAN. Best seafood in Kentucky? I hope not. Ask her which bank her oysters come from, and if they are shucked in-house. Ask her to source anything.

This is the best seafood in Kentucky hands down! Her blends of flavors and spices are second to none. The food always tastes fresh and comes out steaming hot. I can't wait till she opens up her big spot but the Fern Creek location will do just fine.

I have went to her restaurant a few times and I am normally very pleased. However, my last time left me disappointed. I waited for a little over a hour, and she canceled my order without an explanation. I don’t understand!

Broccoli lacked flavor as described. Seafood Mac serving too small for the price and had a tiny amount of seafood. Would like fries tossed in seasoning instead of being garnished with it. Otherwise, food was hot, fresh and ready on time!

Went Sat and was told order would be ready in an hour it was ready in almost 2 hours. But that was OK I was glad to see they were slammed.It was disorganized but that was understandable too. They were apologetic and nice.We briefly checked our food but not good enough to realize we were missing several items when we got home. This was our 1st visit to Seafood Lady and sadly probably our lastThe food lacked cajon flavor but the portions were good.

It was absolutely amazing, the good tasted like I was back in Louisiana. Just the right amount of spice and good size portions. Well worth the money.

Good food. 10 Cajun shrimp, crab legs, bricolli, hush puppies, Mac and cheese. I would just recommend ordering ahead of time due to the high demand and wait time.

Good food very unorganized. And took 30mins for fried shrimp. But the food is always good.

Order twice from the fern Valley location and both times our orders were completely wrong. First time order via Door dash and they failed to include the shrimp the was supposed to be included. Last might after a couple of weeks or not ordering decided via postmates. Ordered two piece, fries and hushpuppies and only received one piece of fish and no fries just hushpuppies. This is the last time we order from them since they can't seem to get an order right

Food is very excellent, spend the money I repeat but call in your order at least a 1hr in advance because it does take 1-2 hrs before you receive the food it is always hot and well done just the wait time is long

I placed a to go order @ 5:40 , it does not say on the website how long it will take to complete until after you click checkout. My order was supposed to be ready according to the website @ 6:45. At 7:30 I asked for refund that I was told would 2 to 3 days. Then the woman working behind the counter said if I never received the refund to call the store, like that was going to help

I was told it would be worth the wait... and it was true! Definitely will be retiring here again!Veteran discount is good!

I stopped in on the way to Chicago, unplanned visit. I was in for a surprise, the food was excellent. Full of flavor! Try the Cheese Sea fry.

So much sauce that I couldn't even taste the oysters. a bit pricy for the amount of actual seafood that you get.

To start with their service was absolutey horrible when we finally received our food it tasted old and everything was covered with spice that's all we tasted yes it was terrible and way way over priced I gave my option on Facebook and they blocked me "If that tells you anything about the business they run" stay away don't waist your money I would have given a 1/2 star but you cant...the 1/2 star was for my drink like I said on Facebook that's my option

Phenominal! Crab cakes were delicious. Had the Full Combo platter with extra oysters & gator. The hush puppies were the best I've had!Highly recommend. I was too excited to eat and forgot to take a pic!

Small portions for the price and atmosphere. The quality is fine, but when you're paying $17 for 2pc catfish and fries, you want your hair blown back (or service beyond the lunch counter pickup experience)! The place is cute, food is good enough, and service was fine -- just not at this price point. I could've given a higher review (and been singing praises) if I hadn't just paid finer dining prices for a fry-up lunch combo that was NOT spectacular enough to tell my Mama about.

I placed my order online, and received a phone call when the order was ready to be picked up. Loved the fried shimp, and the side. To be honest, I did not need 4 sides, but now I have enough food for dinner and lunch. King Crab legs were okay. Think I'll stick with the snow crabs next time.

Ordered @ 6 o’clock knew it’s always a ridiculous WAIT but today tops the cake. Three hours later still no order. The lady inside tells me be patient like helloooooo I drove from the Westend left went to the store to come back and my order still isn’t ready! Hire someone. Refund your 3 hrs waits I love it but unfortunately not that much to return!

Ordered 2 meals Saturday to go. tilapia and shrimp and whiting fish and shrimp. First of all order was late with no apology, then when we got home there was not shrimp in either meal. Food was greasy and to top it off the fish wasn’t what they said it was. Will not ever go back.

I haven't been to your restaurant but I just saw it on Diners Drive Ins and Dives and I am just so proud of the Seafood Lady. I don't mean to pull the race card but it is Sooo good to see a young African American young woman doing so well.Keep up the food work!

Love Seafood lady, but not a fan of this location. Before today I’ve always recommended the business to friends & family. But this last time was not good at all. Normally I go to the West Oak location but with it being closed me and my family decided to try out the Fern Valley location for the first time. The service, taste and presentation were all completely different. The seafood macaroni was mushy/overcooked & the catfish was not appetizing nor looked like the images advertised. Unfortunately we did not get our money’s worth.

It took an hour and 42 minutes to get my food. The price on the website did not match what she charged me. And they overcharged me by $6.99 plus tax. Their reply was will just have to change the website. And the receipt said no refunds no exceptions. So they would not accommodate me for the difference. Alligator tail for $12.99 had nine little bitty pieces. Was not a pleasant experience if the food didn't taste good it would have been zero to one stars. Not sure if or when I'll go back

Hands down the best seafood ever! But the customer service lacks...tried to call in an order and as I was about to give my order, without warning, I guess the phone was put down or she began talking to someone else. Not sure what happened...waited a few minutes listening, then hung up and ordered online. While the food was amazing, the prices are high and if I am paying that much, I also would like great customer service personally...the full package. In the end the quality for the food is 5 stars, but price and customer service get 3 stars.

waited an hour for oysters and people who ordered after us still received there’s. can’t even say the foods worth the wait. maybe it’s a bad day.... but i won’t be going back for a while.
